Another knitting post... riveting stuff, I know.
In addition to being a mediocre knitter, I am also a cheap knitter. I always feel guilty spending our family's money on supplies for my hobbies, so I end up buying cheap yarn, which in turn causes the end result to look cheap, and bad.
I was chosen to be a test knitter for a hat pattern a few weeks ago, and the yarn the designer used was a BEAUTIFUL 100% wool yarn, Malabrigo. So, since I wanted to give a valid result to the designer, and I really, really wanted this pretty yarn, I sucked it up, went to the local yarn store, and spent triple the amount of money that I usually spend on one skein.
Well, guess what?
I have got a pretty hat, that I will actually wear!!!
